As our observatory's Outreach Manager, I work to expand environmental literacy, Critical Zone awareness, and the reach of SSCZO's research. My day-to-day work to achieve these goals includes K-16 student and teacher engagement in the field and classroom, field site tour and research meeting coordination, educational resource development, and website and social media management. I also help critical zone researchers collect data, maintain equipment, and gain familiarity with our field sites. My research interests are quite varied! Lately I have been working on environmental chemistry and pollutants projects in CA reservoirs and natural reserves. My previous work includes mountain evolution research using thermochronologic data and structural, topographic, and thermal modeling approaches. We're always looking for new ways to engage with researchers and the public. Contact me if you would like to discuss site visits or other opportunities for research or educational collaboration.
