His research aims at a better of how biogeochemical processes influence water quality at the catchment to basin scale. Particular areas of research focus on using mineral weathering reactions to understand the flowpaths of water in a catchment and how aquifers store flood waters for periods of days to years and how these flood waters influence water quality in arid and semi-arid streams.
