Students from around the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN), including seven U.S CZ science students funded through the National Office’s SAVI project, gathered in Perth from Jan. 29 to Feb. 13, 2015 for the Inaugural WUN Summer School at the University of Western Australia. The 20 graduate students, representing seven countries and nine WUN universities, spent two weeks sharing their global perspectives on responses to climate change and contributing their diverse disciplinary expertise to address landscape and soil-related climate issues. The program included a four-day scientific workshop, fieldwork at the UWA Future Farm and an intensive writing retreat where students honed their academic writing skills.
