U.S. CZ science students attend Soil Science and Climate Change summer school in Australia

Seven students attend international summer school from January 29 to February 13, 2015

US graduate students and postdoctoral researchers attend the inaugural Soil Science and Climate Change workshop at the University of Western Australia.

Seven U.S. CZ science graduate students received funding through the Science Across Virtual Institutes (SAVI) project of the CZO National Office to attend the inaugural Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) Soil Science and Climate Change summer school at the University of Western Australia (UWA). The students who received funding through a proposal-driven competition are: Maya Almarazy (Brown), Melissa Foster and Alice Hill (UC-Boulder), David Huber (Idaho State), Elizabeth King (Oregon State), Rebecca Lybrand (U Arizona), and Kyungjin Min (U Kansas). The summer school runs from January 29 til February 13, 2015 and includes 3 days at UWA, a four-day retreat at the UWA Future Farm, and a five-day facilitated writing retreat at the Albany campus of UWA.
