Located at 2900 m (9500 feet) in the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies, the Mountain Research Station is an interdisciplinary facility of the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research providing research and educational opportunities for scientists, students, and the general public.
The long-term maintenance of the scientific infrastructure described on this site is a large undertaking by the BcCZO. Requiring routine, year-round manual and automated data collection, instrument evaluation, calibration and replacement coordinated with field manager, lab managers, data management and other BcCZO staff.
We are headquartered at INSTAAR in the SEEC, the Sustainability, Energy and Environment Complex at CU-Boulder. That brings together under a single roof some leading groups and minds in environmental and sustainability research at CU and in federal labs of which the Boulder Creek CZO is a member of.
