PhD or MS studying nitrogen cycling at Penn State University

11 Nov 2019

PhD or MS opportunities to study nitrogen cycling in forest and/or agricultural soils at Penn State University.

Jason Kaye’s lab (https://ecosystems.psu.edu/research/labs/kaye) is seeking PhD or MS applicants to study nitrogen cycling in forest and/or agricultural soils at Penn State University. Key focus areas could include measurements of N transformations along distinct hydrologic flow paths, redox in riparian buffers, soil vs groundwater contributions of N to streams, the depth distribution of N processes wet soils, tracer or natural abundance isotope studies of N transformations.

Students can apply to either the Ecology (https://www.huck.psu.edu/graduate-programs/ecology) or Soil Science (https://ecosystems.psu.edu/graduateprograms/soil-science) programs. PhD students can also pursue the Biogeochemistry Dual Title Degree program (https://www.biogeochemistry.psu.edu/) and the Landscape-U regenerative landscape design program (https://sites.psu.edu/landscapeu/).

Please contact Dr. Kaye directly if you are interested.
