BS, Environmental Science, University of Puerto Rico, 2016
I am a recent graduate from the Environmental Science major at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. In the past, I have been part of research projects ranging from insect ecology in lakes to stream biogeochemistry and have been mainly interested in how stream ecosystems work. As the Critical Zone field technician in Luquillo, my main tasks are sampling streams for water chemistry analyses in El Yunque National Forest and maintaining aquatic sensors and loggers deployed in the streams. I also take part in maintaining soil gas analyzers as well as periodic groundwater well sampling. Apart from my main tasks, I am always excited in being a part of and helping in other varied LCZO-related projects.
