A Photographic Celebration of the Legacy and History of El Yunque Wilderness

El Portal Rain Forest Center

As part of our celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act El Portal Rain Forest Center will host a photographic exhibition about El Toro Wilderness Area displaying the images from many high-profile photographers from September 29-October 10, 2014.  Employees, Cooperators, Collaborators  and Forest Friends are all invited to display their best photos taken inside El Toro Wilderness area.

The selected photos should represent the five elements of the Wilderness Character.  Photographers are invited to show pictures under any or all of the following five categories: Untrammeled, Natural, Undeveloped, Solitude and Other features of value.  Plants, Wildlife, Landscapes, Heritage, and other subject areas great pictures will be displayed by their authors as representation of El Toro Wilderness Character.
