Rebecca Lybrand wins the Outstanding Student Paper Award at Fall 2011 AGU Meeting

Rebecca Lybrand was awarded the 2011 Outstanding Student Paper Award for her presentation “Quantifying elemental compositions of primary minerals from granitic rocks and saprolite within the Santa Catalina Mountain Critical Zone Observatory” at the 2011 American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting.

4,638 students requested to be judged for the OSPA and 149 students were awarded. The top 3-5% of each Section/Focus Group was chosen by a Coordinator or team of Coordinators from each S/FG. Congratulations are also due to you and the time and effort you spend mentoring our next generation of scientists.

Dr. Craig Rasmussen is supervising Rebecca's doctoral research in Soil, Water and Environmental Science.
