My research interests examine patterns of soil and water across the landscape. Current projects involve working with the O'Geen Lab investigating the relationship between deep regolith water storage and soil formation along the elevation transect of the Observatory. This follows ongoing work using intensive instrumentation in the trees and soil, as well as isotopic techniques, to try and better understand water and energy fluxes in the soil/tree system.
