Dr. Fogel is recognized as a leading scientist in the use of stable isotopes for understanding fundamental processes in ecology, ecosystem science, paleoecology and paleoclimatology, and other fields. At UC Merced, Dr. Fogel is conducting research in biogeochemical cycling and ecological studies of past and future environments in the context of changing climate. She is establishing a stable isotope laboratory capable of supporting research in ecology/paleoecology, biogeochemistry, and environmental sciences
