2017 Annual Meeting of the Southern Sierra Critical Zone Observatory

Shaver Lake, CA

2017 Annual Meeting of the Southern Sierra Critical Zone Observatory

August 1 & 2, 2017
Shaver Lake, California

At the 2017 annual meeting, Observatory researchers, students, staff, collaborators, and others associated with or interested in the Observatory will meet in person in order to 1) report and discuss recent activities and findings from research and outreach efforts; 2) strategically plan new projects, partnerships, and publications; and 3) participate in a group field outing to observe new installations and discuss potential research opportunities.

This year’s annual meeting will be held August 1 and 2 in Shaver Lake, conveniently located about 30 minutes from the Providence Creek Catchments field research site and within an hour of most of our other sites. Day 1 and the morning of Day 2 will be held at the Central Sierra Historical Society; Day 2 afternoon will be held at a new NEON installation site. Group camping at Dorabelle Campground in Shaver Lake will be provided for the nights of July 31 and August 1. Group meals are covered for attendees on meeting days and include 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 light refreshments between meals, and 1 dinner (August 1).
