Pre-service and in-service teachers met with Steve Hicks, Research Engineer at Stroud Water Research Center, to build and program sensors at the Education Department at Millersville University of Pennsylvania. During that workshop, they were also introduced to the principles and processes of Earth's Critical Zone. This summer, some of those teachers will work at SWRC to help develop backyard and school yard sensor kits for students and design curricula for teachers.
The libraries, source code examples, and instructions shared at the workshop can be found at http://www.stroudcenter.org/education/teacherworkshops/sensors
