In 2014, students of a CyVerse (then iPlant Collaborative) course called Applied Concepts in Cyberinfrastructure, taught at the University of Arizona (UA) in Tucson by CyVerse faculty, developed novel solutions to assist researchers at the Catalina-Jemez Critical Zone Observatory (CZO) in analyzing their large datasets.
