My interests lie in understanding the connection between localized hydrology, local erosion rates, and then attempting to apply that understanding through an entire landscape. I am currently working at the Antelope Valley Ranch site, trying to understand why a geologic unit composed of interbedded sandstone and shale is so prone to shallow landslides as opposed to other geologic units at the field site.
