Calhoun
Rare earth element deposits

Graduate Student, Geology

B.S., Geology, University of Georgia, 2016
A.S., Engineering, Savannah State University, 2015

Currently working with Dr. Paul Schroeder and Dr. Jay Austin at the Calhoun site in South Carolina under the CZO project. We are focusing on soil science, the restoration and recovery of landscapes with these soils. This is an interest of mine because through the data we are collecting we can assess which deposits are weathered and which deposits are not. This information will allow us to make conclusions on how we can make our land more arable and efficient for the future. My senior undergraduate thesis focused on REE’s (Rare Earth Elements) deposits in the southeast region of the United States.
