A new Illinois Extension online course is available from the College of Agricultural, Consumer & Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign—Where Does Eroded Soil Come From and Where Does It Go? Implications for Soil and Stream Management.
Professor Thanos Papanicolaou of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville teaches the course, which includes units on soil health, organic matter, the living soil, soil tests, soil sources and delivery, and future trends. Papanicolaou also holds the Goodrich Chair of Excellence, Civil and Environmental Engineering. He is co-director of the Intensively Managed Landscapes Critical Zone Observatory (IML-CZO) research project.
To take this course for credit, Certified Crop Advisors will need to register through the Certified Crop Advisor website: http://web.extension.illinois.edu/cca.
