Logjam Clogs Sangamon River, just as it did in the 1930s and ‘40s

About half a mile of logs and other debris stretches across the Sangamon River in Cass County about two miles from where it joins the Illinois River. This formidable barrier is slowly growing, and it has already caused water upstream of the logjam to go where it’s not wanted.
