The RFP for 2013 collaborative and complimentary research within the CZO or along the shale transect is still active, with a current period of performance through August 2013. To date, the SSHCZO has awarded four proposals for research on topics ranging from carbon mass balance and controls of lithology on regolith formation to aboveground net primary productivity and predictions of water migration along the soil-bedrock interface. Remaining funds available total $4668.
