Third seed grant proposal funded for collaborative research in the catchment

We are pleased to announce a third award has been granted on the RFP seed grant program for complimentary research at Shale Hills.  The proposal “Filling gaps in the aboveground carbon budget of the SSHO CZO” submitted by Dr. Margot Kaye, Assistant Professor, Department of Ecosystem Science and Management, The Pennsylvania State University, was funded for a total of $10,688.  In support of current tree physiology research underway, this project will provide foliar chemistry and tree stem growth data needed to complete aboveground net primary productivity estimates for the watershed.
