My research focuses on measurement and modeling of surface fluxes to quantify the role of vegetation ecosystems in modulating surface fluxes, microclimate and hydrology. Research interests include the effects of prescribed fire and vegetation management on hydrology and surface fluxes. Model development and application has focused on process models for hydrologic systems and soil and water resources, with particular interest in soil freezing, snowmelt, evapotranspiration, plant canopy processes, and post-fire hydrologic recovery.
