MODELS

We will develop an integrated modeling framework that can promote the evaluation of conceptual models of soil carbon behavior and associated interactions with climate, ecology, and landscape to promote up-scaling of mechanistic understanding to climate models.

Integration of Reynolds Creek CZO strategic priority areas

The expected impact of modeling activities carried out by the RC CZO team is to develop and maintain an area of excellence in ecohydrology and biogeochemical modeling. We will achieve this impact both through modeling efforts by the RC CZO team, as well as by establishing collaborations and producing benchmark datasets that will be of broad interest to the Earth system modeling community.
