The measurement of "cosmogenic" nuclides has revolutionized the study of Earth Surface processes giving us a means by which to measure the age of some landforms and the rate at which others change over time. Since 1994, UVM has maintained a laboratory dedicated to the preparation of samples for the analysis of 10-Be, 26-Al, and 36-Cl, three of the most useful cosmogenic nuclides.
