Twenty students visited the CZO today from Forestry 475 with the purpose to teach the students about links between soils and forest productivity.  Observations and discussions revolved around describing the monitoring of soil water, soil carbon, and tree carbon via different sensors and measurement techniques.  At the conclusion, the students were able to describe the distribution of forest productivity throughout the watershed and its link to soil properties.
