In my research I use field-based experiments and big data geostatistical techniques to solve questions concerning the fate and transport of nutrients throughout ecosystems. My graduate research is concentrated on understanding the geochemical drivers that lead to soil aggregate destabilization and dissolved organic carbon flux in streams. With a B.S. in Environmental Engineering, I am passionate about water quality, the transport of pollutants/nutrients in the critical zone, and the many social/environmental issues we face today. I work with large interdisciplinary teams on a number of projects to address carbon cycling dynamics and nutrient runoff in freshwater ecosystems across various temporal and spatial scales in the continental United States and Cuba.
