The Department of Meteorology at Penn State hosted two “Weather Camps” this summer, one for students who will be entering grades 8-10 next fall (Weather), and one for those entering grades 11 and 12 (Advanced). Throughout the week, campers experience research, TV, forecasting and numerous meteorological activities. While in the catchment, Davis explained instrumentation, purpose for the research, ties between soil, hydrology and the atmosphere as well as why we care.
