Gaines, nearing completion of year five in the Ecology graduate program, has been awarded the Intercollege Graduate Student Outreach Achievement Award for 2015.  The Intercollege Graduate Student Outreach Award recognizes the exceptional achievements of degree candidates in the program who bring scholarship to the community.  As a 2012-2013 CarbonEARTH fellow, Gaines refined her science communication skills in middle school science classrooms in both Harrisburg, PA and Philisburg, PA.
