Collaborations with outside institutions to begin Spring 2011

Princeton scientists, Dr. Francois Morel and Dr. Anne Kraepiel, will collaborate at Shale Hills to advance our understanding of nitrogen fixation in the laboratory and the catchment. The fertility of ecosystems is often limited by the amount and availability of nitrogen. PI’s will investigate how aerobic soil bacteria acquire metals and how the kinetics of that reaction limit N2 fixation in terrestrial systems.
