My thesis research involves fitting previously derived mathematical models to the C, N and Mn concentration profiles to determine trends between climate and element storage in shale derived soils. I work on soils taken from the climosequence associated with the Susquehanna Shale Hills CZO which spans Wales, the east coast of the United States and Puerto Rico.
